• For the church places St Andrew and St Kunigundis there is this year no home visits. You will receive the blessing sticker for the doors in the services or from the parish office. Feel free to bring the blessing to your neighbors and friends.
• For the church location St. John Bosco takes place the "clothing of the kings" and the Sending out the groups on January 6th in the church individually after consultation with Ms. Gemke. The decision in which form (home visit or letter box campaign) the carol singers are on the road lies in the hands of the carers/parents. You will also receive blessing stickers in the services or from the parish office.
• For the church location St Henry and the evangelical parishes in Kaufungen on Thursday, January 6th at 6:00 p.m. the sending service instead of. If enough children take part in the carol singing and accompanying persons are found, home visits will take place on Friday and Saturday. In the districts where there are not enough or no groups come together, there will be a mailbox campaign like last year.

Three parishes are involved in the carol singing campaign of St. Anthony of Padua. We are pleased that, in addition to St. Antonius in Kassel and Kaufungen, the Protestant parishes in Nieder- and Oberkaufungen are also on board.

Carolinger campaign 2022

The carol singer acton is a charitable campaign in which children from wealthy Central Europe stand up for disadvantaged children. Projects that benefit children are selected by the Kindermissionswerk according to certain criteria. The decisive factor is that strict guidelines must be observed in order for a project to receive funding from the Kindermissionswerk. This includes reliable on-site support.

At the last carol singer campaign in 2020, the carol singers collected 38.2 million euros. The money will be used to support 1,623 projects in 108 countries. This year, the health care of girls and boys in Africa will be shown using Africa as an example.

Our project, which we have been supporting since 2021, is located in Uganda. It is a school project, but the school already exists and works well. Due to the insecure and relatively long distances to school, a boarding school is to be offered for the girls in the future. Two classrooms are currently being converted into dormitories every evening. With the help of the carol singers, a girls' dormitory will be built next to the school. This saves girls in particular an unsafe way to school.

Construction work on the project has progressed very well this year. Therefore, the entire requested and approved funding amounting to 46,200.00 euros was paid out in full by the Kindermissionswerk. Nothing stands in the way of further work and we are confident that the construction will be completed by the end of this year at the latest. The fact that the approved funding has already been paid out is thanks to the commitment of those responsible on site.

Around 10,500 euros were collected through the carol singers campaign in 2021. So that the financial budget of the Kindermissionswerk is balanced, we will probably collect the next 3 to 4 carol singers for this project.

Our experience in recent years has shown that such a project is well received by the community. This increased the willingness to donate, as we were able to show what the donations were used for. This creates a connection to the project and the donors find out what they are donating to. In addition, donors can rest assured that the money will go where it is needed.
